Shoes

ShoesAre your shoes crowding your closets, floors and spaces? Do you want to declutter, but are not sure how to begin? Below are a few organizing tips that might be useful:

  • Gather - Bring all the shoes together and match-up the pairs. It's simpler to organize one family member's shoes at a time.
  • Separate - Remove any pairs that are never worn, no longer fit, don't like, or are in poor condition.
  • Decide - With the pairs you've removed, determine where they'll go and bring them to a friend, charity like Soles4Souls, shoe repair, or recycling.
  • Organize - Take "keepers" and choose your favorite way to store and access your shoes. Do you prefer shoeboxes, racks or bags, cubbies, bins, shelves, drawers, floor or a combination of these?
  • Complete - You've gathered, edited and prepared. You're ready to arrange your edited collection into your organizing system. Once you've done that, take a few moments to enjoy your efforts.
